Herbert D. Gallaudet’s papers consist primarily of his creative works: plays, verses, poetry, and a manuscript based on his experiences in World War I. He wrote a manuscript entitled “We Went to War,” which is composed primarily of verses related to the war. Also included are playbooks and clippings of stories from magazines. Of particular interest in this collection is a book of religious poetry that belonged to E.M. Gallaudet. This collection is dated from 1853 to 1941, but most works are from 1937 to 1941.
