Scope and Contents

Bulk is reports and minutes from the Maryland Commission, which was set up to explore ways to improve services for the deaf in Maryland, including vocational rehabilitation, telephone relay, and interpreter services. Crammatte was a member of the Commission, which included both deaf and hearing members. Also includes some correspondence with other members of the Commission, material on commissions for the deaf in other states, and a copy of a report from an earlier Maryland commission on the deaf from 1976. See series 3 for correspondence with some commission members.
