Scope and Contents Based on Joanne Greenberg’s 1970 novel In This Sign, Love Is Never Silent is a TV movie about the hearing daughter of deaf parents. Mare Winningham played the daughter, while deaf actors Phyllis Frelich and Ed Waterstreet played her parents.
