Scope and Contents

Correspondence files from Eastman’s time as chair of the Gallaudet theater department, arranged alphabetically by subject. Bulk is from the mid-1970s through early 1990s. Includes correspondence, clipping files on prominent deaf actors, material on deaf theater, and some dissertations and theses. Of particular interest are correspondence files for Deaf Mosaic (series 5 has more on Deaf Mosaic) and a file on Eastman’s book From Mime to Sign.

Also includes more correspondence and other material from Deaf Mosaic (see series 4) and some commemorative postcards and envelopes from Gallaudet.
