A collection of material from other deaf schools and institutions related to deaf culture and ASL education, not necessarily material that Marie Jean Philip worked on personally. Includes some papers and outlines on bilingual/bicultural education, as well as a set of class outlines prepared by deaf educator Stephen Nover.
Series 2: Educational material for Harvard University, 1984 - 1994
Philip taught ASL on an undergraduate basis as part of Harvard’s department of linguistics for several years until the grant funding for her program expired. This series includes her syllabi, correspondence with the department and university administration, student work and evaluations, department guidelines, and other papers related to the coursework she was teaching.
