Series 2: Correspondence with state government, 1979 - 1986
Consists mostly of correspondence, reports, and notes from Crammatte’s interaction with the Maryland state government as an expert witness, consultant, and citizen, and a member of the Maryland Association of the Deaf. Also includes some MDAD-produced materials and correspondence between Crammatte and the MDAD, and copies of state legislation and testimony on deaf issues. Most relates to either interpreting services or the provision of TDD services.
Series 3: Correspondence, 1959 - 1985
Crammatte’s correspondence with various prominent deaf people and members of the Gallaudet faculty and administration. Bulk is from the mid-1980s, although there are a few earlier letters, including a 1959 note from deaf artist Cadwallader Washburn. Also includes some correspondence with other Maryland Commission members (see series 1), as well as a collection of family Christmas letters from the 1960s.
