Scope and Contents From the Collection: The Benjamin Marshall Schowe, Sr. Papers consists of correspondence and personal papers of Ben M. Schowe, Sr., a 1918 graduate of Gallaudet College, who held for almost 40 years as the position of labor economist with the Firestone Tire and Rubber Company of Akron, Ohio. This collection, dated from 1912 to 1977, includes approximately 30,000 pages of correspondence and some 10,000 pages of manuscripts and notebooks.
