This collection describes the history of the Virginia Association of the Deaf. Included in the collection are correspondence, meeting minutes, financial reports, program books, constitutions and by laws, periodicals, newspaper clippings, and photographs.

The Wesley Lauritsen collection consists of five boxes. Majority of the papers involves articles, clippings and letters that Lauritsen wrote. Also, there are information about his times at Gallaudet College and his awards that he received after. Also, there are documents about the organizations that he was involved with.
